One of the reasons I so enjoy living in Burlington is because its citizens have voted with our ballots and our dollars to keep so many things local–the Onion River Coop, Burlington Electric, our various credit unions…and Burlington Telecom. Our family signed on with BT years ago because it we liked the idea of having another local utility. We would like to keep it that way; simultaneously supporting the coop model is another bonus!
